Terracotta Tiles Are Very Porous and need Sealing:
Terracotta stone is very porous, and absorbs moisture like a sponge. It is especially susceptible to citric acids, alcohols, oils, grease and vinegar, which can leave stain spots, & must be professionally cleaned (you can do it yourself but with the right information and training) It should always be sealed properly to prevent re-soiling, staining and discolouration, this also makes for easier maintenance for you.

Topical : (gloss) sealer adds a coating and a beautiful low or high shine finish on your terracotta tile floor, this is done to protect against spills or other contaminants causing permanent stains and also makes on-going maintenance easier for you. Impregnator: Application of a top quality impregnator can reduce the porosity of the terracotta flooring and grout, as it penetrates into the surface of the stone and grout, and acts as a repellent for any spillages. Applying an Impregnator sealant to terracotta stone tile and grout will allow for a natural (matt) finish to the stone/grout.
